It Started With Two Fathers

Fathers and Football was not born in a boardroom. It was born on a sideline. Two fathers — one in Virginia, one in Texas — coaching their own children and discovering the same truth independently: when fathers show up as coaches, mentors, and leaders, their children and communities are transformed.

Justin Floyd and Rob Washington built their programs separately, driven by the same conviction. They set the same standard, coached with the same philosophy, and demanded the same effort from every athlete. When they connected, Fathers and Football became the name for what they had already been building all along.

Justin Floyd founded Legacy 7 in Brambleton, Virginia with one goal — to build a program where young athletes are developed as complete people, not just players. As a father first and coach second, Justin brings the conviction that what happens between the lines shapes who these kids become outside of them.

Coaching in the Loudoun NFL Flag Football league, Justin built Legacy 7 from the ground up — establishing a culture of discipline, effort, and accountability that every athlete carries beyond the field. His coaching philosophy is simple: demand the best from every athlete, give them the tools to deliver, and never let them settle for less than their potential.

Justin is one of two founding fathers of Fathers and Football. His vision for Legacy 7 extends beyond a single team — it is the foundation for a movement that encourages fathers everywhere to step onto the field for their children.

Rob Washington built Frisco Elite in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, establishing a competitive program in one of the most talent-rich youth football regions in the country. Competing in the Dallas Cowboys NFL FLAG league, Rob has led Frisco Elite to regional championships and developed athletes who compete at the highest level of youth flag football.

Rob coaches with intensity and purpose. His athletes are expected to bring effort on every rep, respect the process, and represent the program with character. Under his leadership, Frisco Elite has quickly become a force in Texas youth flag football — known for disciplined play, elite preparation, and a coaching staff that demands excellence.

As a founding father of Fathers and Football, Rob embodies the mission — a father who saw the power of showing up for his children and built a program that extends that impact to every family in his community.
